The Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps, or JROTC, is designed to teach high school students the value of citizenship, leadership, service to the community, personal responsibility, and a sense of accomplishment, while instilling in them self-esteem, teamwork, and self-discipline. The mission statement is "To motivate young people to be better citizens." It prepares high school students for responsible leadership roles while making them aware of their rights, responsibilities, and privileges as American citizens.

Below are a few of the many opportunities available to cadets to develop and implement their leadership skills:

Drill Team:The Drill Team is for cadets who are DISCIPLINED, coordinated and excel in Drill and Ceremony. They must be able to learn and adept at a quick pace. The Drill Team performs at the Homecoming football game, Battle of the Flowers and Cinco de Mayo Parades, and other special occasions along with competing in various competitions throughout the school year.

Color Guard:The Color Guard serves as the focal point of our interaction with the community.It consists of a four person guard up to a six person guard. In order to be on Color Guard, cadets must maintain an A or B average in all classes. Cadets must demonstrate discipline, and strict determination to be a member of the color guard.

Physical Fitness Team: The JROTC Physical Fitness program has two factors the weigh-in and the Physical Fitness Test. The JROTC Physical Fitness Testis a three-event physical performance test used to assess endurance. It is a simple way to measure your physical strengths, abilities, and cardio-respiratory fitness. The intent of this testis to provide a baseline assessment. The test is to be taken at least twice a calendar year and each member must be able to meet the minimum standards to be eligible for awards and promotion.The three events are one minute of push-ups,one minute of sit-ups, and a timed 1-mile run. Your results from each event are assigned a score. To pass you must Score 150 points or higher with at least 50 points in each event. Your age, gender and the amount of repetitions or time elapsed for each event determines your score. Unlike other Jrotc endurance tests the fitness testis normally performed in normal workout gear and running shoes.

Military Ball Committee:The Military Ball is an event of the same caliber as a Senior Prom.The Ball serves as the social highlight the JROTC school year. The cadets are responsible for entertainment, decor, catering, building arrangements, security,and fundraising.

Junior Cadet Leadership Challenge (JCLC): JCLC's sole purpose is to help build the leadership skills of Junior ROTC cadets. The top ten Cadets are selected to attend JCLC. Cadets are selected by their demonstration excellence throughout the school year. Participants are chosen based on merit and commitment.
